CLUB HOURS OF OPERATION are from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm daily. We are closed most federal holidays. Please consult the Events Calendar for a list of all closings. After 11:00 pm, guests are asked to enter and exit via the Club’s front entrance on Massachusetts Avenue. The Night Manager will be available to answer the front door bell.
DRESS. Gentlemen are expected to wear jackets, dress slacks, a collared long-sleeved shirt (tucked-in) or turtleneck at all times. Ties are required only in the Garden Dining Room at Sunday brunch, and at lunch and dinner. Ties are not required anywhere else in the clubhouse. Ladies are expected to dress in an equivalent fashion, which means dresses, suits, skirts or dress slacks with jackets or tops of equivalent formality. Learn more.
CLUB EVENTS are outlined in our monthly Cosmos Club Bulletin, which is in each overnight room or may be picked up at the Front Desk. Many such activities are open to guests. You may also wish to consult the online Events Calendar.
SUNDRIES/GIFT ITEMS may be purchased at the front desk.
VALET PARKING is available at the North entrance to the Clubhouse, which can be accessed via Hillyer Court, located directly off Florida Avenue.
MEAL SERVICE The Garden Dining Room on the first floor is open to members and guests. Dining Reservations can be made by calling Member Services at (202) 797-6443 or by dialing the in-house extension 6443. No reservations are required for Breakfast. GARDEN BAR, located on the first floor of the main clubhouse, is an elegant yet casual location serving a full list of beer, wine, and spirits.
FITNESS FACILITY with multi gym, Life Step, rowing machine, Lifecycle, and treadmill is located on the fourth floor of the Annex.
LIBRARY located on the second floor of the Clubhouse, offering books, periodicals, and newspapers. Newspapers and periodicals also can be found in the Front Lobby and first floor parlors.
BILLIARDS ROOM is located on the third floor of the Mansion.
24 HOUR BUSINESS CENTER is located on the first floor of the Hillyer House.
PRIVATE MEETING/DINING ROOMS. The Warne Ballroom, Long Gallery, Members Dining Room, and Crentz Dining Room are located on the second floor of the Mansion. The Hoover, Wilson, Taft, and Board Rooms are all located on the third floor of the Mansion.
ALL CLUB CHARGES are recorded on chits to be signed by the member of sponsored guest. All billings to the account of guest card holders are subject to a 22% “guest fee” plus tax. Bills may be paid upon departure by contacting the Front Desk.
Unless arrangements are made in advance, guests of club members and members of reciprocal clubs are requested to pay all charges by credit card, check, or cash upon departure. An imprint of your credit card will be made upon checking in at the Front Desk prior to receiving your house account number.
