Mother’s Day Brunch

Sunday, May 12, 10:30 am-3:00 pm

Celebrate mothers, grandmothers and any other special ladies at the festive Mother’s Day Brunch.

There will be multiple seating times starting at 10:30 am, so that as many members and their guests as possible may be accommodated.

Reservations required. Reservations and/or cancellations must be made no later than May 8. Price: $80 for adults; $62 for children ages 8 to 13; $50 for children ages 4 to 7; no charge for children age 3 and under.

Father’s Day Brunch

Sunday, June 16, 11:00 am-2:00 pm

Celebrate all generations of dads, from new fathers to grandfathers and great grandfathers, at a sparkling wine brunch on his day. In addition to the usual excellent spread of brunch fare, there will be a selection of barbecue items, such as spare ribs and chicken and complimentary draft beer.

Summer dress code is in season, and so ties and jackets are not required.

We invite members to gather and enjoy a meal in our Garden Dining Room. This elegant space is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Garden Dining Room Hours

Breakfast: 7:30 – 10 am daily (schedule subject to change)
Through May 26: full hot buffet with omelet chef
May 27 (club closed): cold continental
May 28-31: full hot buffet with omelet chef

Lunch: 11:30 am – 2 pm Monday to Friday; Limited lunch menu on Saturdays in Garden Bar

Dinner: 5:30 – 9 pm Monday to Saturday

Arvo: 2 – 5 pm Monday to Friday in 1878 Grille

Oysters & Brew: 5 – 7 pm Thursdays in 1878 Grille

The Garden Bar

Looking to enjoy a drink in a relaxed atmosphere? The Garden Bar and East Garden is open 4-11 pm Monday to Saturday (food service ends at 10 pm; drink service ends at 11 pm). Light fare menu available 4-10 pm and full dinner menu available 5:30-9 pm. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis. To enter the Garden Bar, walk through the last door on the right on the way to the rear exit of the club, where members pick up their cars.

Dress Code

SUMMER DRESS IS NOW IN EFFECT FROM MAY 1 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30.

Summer Dress: Business casual attire is permitted throughout the clubhouse; however, after 5 pm jackets (but not ties) are required in the Garden Dining Room. “Business casual” means collared, long-sleeved, tucked-in shirts that button down the center or turtlenecks and dress slacks for men and comparable attire for women. Military uniforms and national dress of equivalent formality are also acceptable.

Regular Dress (October 1-April 30): The Cosmos Club dining areas require gentlemen to wear jackets, dress slacks, and collared, long-sleeved, tucked in shirts that button down the center or turtlenecks. Ties are required only in the Garden Dining Room at Sunday brunch, and at lunch and dinner. Ties are not required anywhere else in the clubhouse. We ask that ladies wear dresses, suits, skirts, or dress slacks of equivalent formality.

Dress Code at Breakfast: Men: Collared buttoned down long sleeve shirts or turtleneck (tucked in); slacks or khakis. Neither jacket nor tie are required. Women: Dresses, slacks, blouses of equivalent formality. No leggings or tights, unless worn with skirts, dresses or long jackets.

Sweat suits or other athletic or sports attire, jeans or other denim garments, sneakers, flip-flops, athletic footwear and shorts are never acceptable in the public rooms. Hats and baseball caps are not permitted.
