The Cosmos Club is committed to making its website accessible to all members, guests, and visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to read about the Club, browse the calendar, and use member services with ease.
Measures we take
- A self-hosted accessibility widget on every page (the round button in the lower left corner, or press Ctrl+U). It offers one-click profiles plus adjustments for font size and spacing, readable and dyslexia-friendly fonts, contrast and color-blindness filters, a reading guide and reading mask, a text magnifier, read-aloud text to speech, page structure navigation, keyboard navigation shortcuts, and more. Your choices are saved in your own browser; nothing is sent to a server.
- Skip-to-content links, visible focus indicators, and semantic headings throughout the site.
- A sitewide typography baseline chosen for readability, with text contrast meeting WCAG AA ratios.
- Ongoing internal audits of new pages and features against WCAG 2.1 AA.
Conformance status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. The website is regularly reviewed and remediated; some older documents and third-party content may not yet fully conform.
